‘Revolver Rani’ Kangana Ranaut has opened up an alleged Bollywood drug nexus. She also claims to have experienced at the hands of a man she chose to refer to as a ‘character actor’. She said this ‘character actor’ came into her life as a ‘self-appointed mentor’ while she was struggling to establish herself in the film industry and then the character later assumed the role of a ‘self-appointed husband’.
Speaking to Republic TV, the actor said le left Manali when she was only 16 and won a competition in Chandigarh. She was then sent to Mumbai by the agency where she stayed in a hostel for the initial few days of her stay there and later started living with an ‘aunty’ in the city. It was during this particular period, the character actor befriended her and promised to find work in Bollywood through his contacts. He also impressed the woman she was living with and soon became her ‘self-appointed mentor’, and then the three started living together.
However, Kangana admitted that things changed after a while. She was quoted as saying, “He fought with the aunty and asked her to leave. But he kept my belongings in the home and locked me. And whatever I would do, his staff would straightaway give updates to him. It felt almost like a house arrest.”
“He took me to parties and once I felt an intoxication that led to intimacy between us. Then I realized that it was not done willingly, but my drink had been spiked. And after that incident, within a week, he became my self-appointed husband. And if I tell him, ‘you are not my boyfriend’, he’d charge at me with slippers to hit me,” she further said.
She recalled how this person would accompany her to meetings with people from Dubai. She said he would make her sit among a group of elderly men and leave the meeting himself. The elderly men then would take her number. “I started fearing that they would supply me off to Dubai.”
Kangana remembered how this person got the shock of his life when she got a break in films, Gangster being her debut movie in 2006. She spoke about his development upset him. “When I got the break, he was agitated. He started telling me after drinking that he never expected that I will get a break so soon. After that, he started sedating me with injections so that I am not able to go to shoots. I told my director Anurag Basu about it. If he would hit me and I’d have bruises, Anurag would make me stay at his office for many nights, to protect me.”
The report also mentioned that she told the anchor of the show that it was most likely that Sushant was drugged with the intention to break his mind or to create a ‘controversy’ around his murder. The also said that Sushant doesn’t belong to a family that would consume hard drugs like LSD and made strong claims that Rhea might have arranged Marijuana which is legal in few countries, from abroad for Sushant.
After almost two months passed since the demise of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, a new drug angle has been introduced into the case and the Narcotics Control Bureau has begun its probe. Earlier, after a verdict from the Supreme Court, the Central Bureau of Investigation has begun investing the mysterious death case. The Enforcement Directorate, in a different investigation, has also begun its investigation from a possible financial irregularity angle.
